So I'm wondering still whether to modify the ideas of the pre-made classes.

Like example is the warrior class which every single combat mastery weapon and marksman I think. So in light of that and synthesis with what you have said I think it is not a bad idea to have like short blade and another weapon but on the other hand some of the classes are crazy ideas. Train me in armor or spear and then get those nice multipliers. Or no? I am thinking I could make a character with no endurance skill but then just pay trainers gold to make up for that. That seems a work around to the problem of attributes. I was usually a bit of a thief and I had lots of gold to train before sleeping and leveling up. I recall back from when I was playing this game I knew how the multiplier worked. I usually avoid marksman for this reason, but if you get both Agility and Marksman to 50, you can hit pretty reliably.Īh yes I remember that now. This is due to how combat works in Morrowind. There is a chance your arrow will miss, even if you hit the target. A word of warning: Marksman doesn't really work like other weapon skills. Also, if I pick Spear, I might choose Light Armor, because Heavy Armor and Medium armor are both governed by Endurance, which I can then level up by increasing Spear.Īnyway, that's a bit of a long-winded explanation, but it should hopefully give you an idea on how skills work in Morrowind. I usually combine either Long Blade or Spear with Short Blade, and use magic for ranged fighting. Generally, you pick whatever you want to use. You can still use the skill even if it's not a Major/minor skill, so don't worry too much about it (unless you're trying to minmax). This includes weapon skills: Long Blade, Axe, and Blunt are all governed by Strength Short Blade and Unarmed are governed by Speed Marksman is governed by Agility and Spear is governed by Endurance.īecause the skills are governed by different attributes, it is usually a good idea to take more than one as Major/minor skills so that you can increase its governing attribute while leveling up. With that in mind, it is best to choose a variety of skills that you will be using to level up your different attributes. It does not matter if Long Blade is a major, minor, or miscellaneous skill, you will still be able to increase strength by five. For example, if you increase Long Blade ten times, you will be able to increase Strength by five points when you level up.

The amount that a chosen attribute increases is determined by what skills you have leveled up. When you level up, you must choose three attributes to increase. Each skill has a governing attribute: Long Blade has Strength, Marksman has Agility, etc. Miscellaneous skills do not contribute to leveling. Every time your Major/minor skills increase by ten points total, you level up. You level up by increasing your Major and minor skills, which are chosen when you create a class. Medium armor – Cinia Urtius – not in game – some would have it that she should be on the boat docked at Tel Fyr.This requires a bit of an explanation on how leveling works in morrowind. Marksman – Missun Akin – Falasmaryon, Missun Akin's Hut
